John Nowaczewski
Pastor
John was born and raised in a Roman Catholic family in London, England. He attended the Jesuit college of Saint Ignatius in Stamford Hill where he witnessed the abuse of power that was the hallmark of the church at that time. John decided to leave Saint Ignatius and enter the workforce. Joining one of the predecessor banks of Bank of America in London and later transferring to Charlotte, NC, where he planned to make a career of banking.
In the miracle of faith, John became a member of Sharon Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, where he served as an elder and moderator of the Worship Committee. He entered Union Presbyterian Seminary and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree, and subsequently a Doctor of Ministry degree.
John and his wife, Carolyn, have been blessed with three grown children: Sarah, Jack, his wife Heather and their child Jessie Blake, and Timothy, his wife Jackie and their children Asher, Violet, and Finnian. John enjoys reading, fishing and hunting. He and Carolyn are friends to the beekeeping ministries: the idea of being a friend and helper to the environment has stewardship overtones that cannot be ignored.
John has a love of preaching The Word: proclamation being within the walls of the congregation, as well as in the streets of our neighborhoods, where Gods children work live and play. The opportunity to minister has no boundaries.

Lisa Quinn
Administrative Assistant
Lisa has served as Covenant’s administrative assistant in charge of communications and bookkeeping since April 2011. Before coming to Covenant Lisa homeschooled her two children, which was a profession in itself.

After her children went to college, Lisa answered God’s call to work alongside Covenant’s congregation to provide support to the many volunteers and committee members to “get the church work done” in the office.

Lisa is married to Mike Quinn. They have two children, Melia and Ryan, and his wife, Grea. In her spare time she likes to read, watch Hallmark movies, and spend time with her family and her beloved poodle, Taffy!

We are fortunate to have such a people person in Lisa! Her dedication to our church is exemplary. There are no details too small. Projects are completed with grace and a smile.
